We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Market Sales Manager with previous experience in hospitality to grow our sales team in Flanders. The candidate will develop the Flemish market with a focus on our Antwerp property and work in close cooperation with the national sales team & market sales manager for Flanders.


Job description
As Market Sales Manager for Flanders, you will be responsible to maximize rooms, meeting rooms & F&B sales for & from your region.

Main responsibilities:

  • Maximize revenue & profit opportunities through sales activities and calling actions
  • Define & execute action plan to develop COR/MICE business within your region
  • You will manage a portfolio of local corporate & MICE accounts
  • You will be actively looking for new COR & MICE clients based in your region
  • Account development: follow-up on client's productions and take necessary actions to maintain/improve level of production - develop strategic account plans and plan active roll out
  • Achieve turnover objectives & cross sell other NH properties where possible
  • Handle RFPs & local contracts
  • Grow & strengthen relationships with your clients (B-2-B) to become their consultant.
  • Keep in close contact and liaise with other departments to develop accounts such as Sales counter partners (based abroad), Global Sales, Group Sales Booking Offices, Revenue Managers, and Marketing Dep.
  • Responsible for maintaining a high-quality CRM system for existing accounts and prospects
  • Attend local fairs & client events.

 

The ideal candidate must fulfil the below requirements:

  • Bilingual Dutch & English, this is a mandatory requirement.
  • Minimum of 2 years field sales experience in the hotel/meeting & events industry
  • Knowledge of hospitality/ local market
  • Analytical and proactive approach
  • Experienced with Lanyon, Hotelligence / Agency 360
  • Large active MICE/Corporate network in Flanders
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office applications
  • In the possession of a driver's license
  • Action-oriented & pro-active business approach
  • Results driven
  • High level of negotiation skills and client oriented
  • Self-motivated, disciplined & stress resistant
  • Priority-setting, time-management, and organizing abilities
  • Flexible and independent working approach
