Restaurant Vermeer is an internationally acclaimed modern restaurant in the heart of the City of Amsterdam. Under the management of Chef Tjaco van Eijken, the team focuses on innovation and quality. The main ingredients are always locally sourced, and some vegetables and herbs are harvested in and around Amsterdam.   • You are a team player with good communication skills and a passion for delivering great guest experiences;
  • You have a good command of the Dutch and English language.

What are you going to do?
As Sous Chef, you and the Executive Chef are the driving force behind the kitchen team. You know how to get the best out of your team members, and you ensure a culinary experience for every guest. You actively assist with cooking, and you support the Chef with various projects to improve processes in the kitchen. You contribute to changes in the menu, update recipes and make food calculations. You assist the chef with activities such as scheduling, complying with and checking hygiene procedures, managing the kitchen stock and placing orders.
