nhow Amsterdam RAI is a social and multicultural hub for globetrotters, business travelers, and Amsterdam locals. The iconic building, facing the various wind directions, symbolizes the melting pot the city of Amsterdam has always been and continues to be. The impressive 91-metre-tall building is located in the Zuidas district, right next to the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre, offering its guests a dynamic headquarters and home base.

For this iconic social hub, we are looking for an enthusiastic early bird to work in our kitchen! Nhow Amsterdam RAI is a hotel with 650 rooms and a very dynamic breakfast. The opening times are 7.00 - 10.30 and 7.00 - 12.00 (weekend). Breakfast is done in the form of an elaborate buffet, all served on the 17th floor, with amazing views. Your key responsibility would be to prepare and present the food, keep refilling the buffet during the service and then prepare for the following day. There is also some contact with the guests during the service times.

  • You speak and understand English, Dutch is an advantage.

A day in the life of a Breakfast Cook.
04:30 Your alarm goes off and you get ready for your shift.
05:45 You are in the kitchen and grab yourself a cup of coffee to start with.
06:00 Together with your colleague from the F&B service you set up the buffet in the restaurant.
07:00 The first guests arrive; you prepare a delicious egg dish for one of your favorite regular guests.
10:45 After the final guests leave the breakfast restaurant, you clean up where possible and prepare the mise en place for the following day.
11:15 If necessary, you prepare a (sandwich) lunch for the meeting and event guests.
11:30 Enjoy your lunch with colleagues from other departments.
12:00 The lunch in the restaurant has started and you ensure they have a perfect experience from start to finish.
13:30 The last guests leave, and you and the team make sure the mise en place is in order for the next shift and your workplace is neat and clean.
14:00 Time to go home!
