Who are you? 

We are looking for an experienced candidate in the hotel industry with a strong network and in-depth understanding of the corporate & mice segments. 

You should possess strong commercial, communication and analytical skills which are needed to make smart business decisions in the execution of the commercial plan. 

You have a commercial and “business hunger” attitude and are able to persuade our clients to choose Minor Hotels. You find it important to work on a high service level, advise our clients, and provide them with a professional tailor-made proposal. You are an ambassador of Minor Hotels. 

Required profile – Main competences & skills 

  • Minimum of 3 years field sales experience in the hotel industry  
  • Knowledge of hotel/tourism market  
  • Experienced with Lanyon, Hotelligence / Agency 360 is a plus 
  • Understand of GDS, TMC’s and other distribution channels 
  • Large active MICE/Corporate network in Belgium (and abroad)  
  • Native French speaker, fluent in English, knowledge of Flemish/Dutch is a plus. 
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office applications  
  • In the possession of a driver’s license  
  • Analytical and proactive approach  
  • Action oriented & pro-active business approach

Main Responsibilities 

  • You will manage a portfolio of business clients based in Belgium & (French speaking) Switzerland. 
  • Maximize revenue & profit opportunities through sales activities from the assigned accounts & hunting for new potential accounts - individually and as a teamwork. 
  • Account development: follow-up on client’s “stay & spend” productions and take necessary actions to maintain / improve level of production - develop strategic account plans and plan active roll out.  
  • You will sell & promote the 8 brands of Minor Hotels to clients based in your region. 
  • Handle RFP’s according to NH guidelines 
  • Grow & strengthen relationships with your clients (B-2-B) to become their consultant. 
  • Maintain good working relationship with hotels in BU and particularly in assigned geographical working area. 
  • Keep in close contact and liaise with other departments to develop accounts such as: Sales counter partners (based abroad), Global Sales, Group Sales Booking Offices, Revenue Managers and Marketing Dep. 
  • Responsible for maintaining a high-quality CRM-system for existing accounts and prospects. 
  • Attend fairs & various events to represent Minor hotels portfolio.
